Why does my car vibrate at low RPM and idle?

Why does my car vibrate at low RPM and idle?

Hi ,
I bought my car two months ago in Saudi Arabia , first to have the car. when the engine is on the RPM goes up/low (vibrate) at idle. Now my Camaro 2ss is in the service and they don't know what couse the problem. They told me to wait , they are looking for same cases in USA. Now 12 days has passed and nothing happen , my car still with them and i don't know what to do.

Could any one tell me , if that could led to a big problem . or might guide me what , and how long i should wait.

Regads ,

Mohammed

It depends on how much. All SS's shake/vibrate a bit at idle due to the massive engine and aggressive cam profile.

I have a 2SS and sitting at idle, the RPM will fluctuate a little, not by much, and gives the car a nice rocking motion as it does it. It is normal.

Yea, mine fluctuates. It's normal.

I'm not certain but I'm guessing that the v6 does not do this, just the SS. And if I'm not mistaken, even Corvettes do it.

Your car is probably ok. I think some users that have custom tunes have a smoother idle. The slightly rough idle is normal. I even found topics on the corvette forums. My 2002 Vette with an LS1 also had what seemed like a miss in it at times.
