Here is the last new piece to show tonight...

It's the new output yoke for the trans... There is not to be a guibo joint anymore as came with the DSS shaft.... now there is a yoke at both ends...

After we get the trans in we will have to measure from the center of the front yoke, pictured below, to the center of the rear yoke, and then Thrash drive shafts in San Antonio will give us overnight turnaround on shortening the shaft and putting the new end on it...

This one is chromoly material and quite strong....

You may have said before, but are the gears in this trans straight cut?
But anyways things are looking sick. Before long you will be building a twin 90mm top mount system. Lol

Nope, they are not straight cut....

Here is directly from the RSG site...

  • All gears and shafts are made of 9310 Alloy Steel
  • The gear train has a 22 degree helix angle for increased strength, less thrust load, and lower operating temperatures
  • All Tranzilla units feature C5 Corvette Triple Cone Synchronizers for ultra smooth shifts
  • Steel 3-4 Shift Fork
  • Solid, billet synchronizer keys
  • All components match fitted, and clearance corrected (blue printed)
  • New OEM bearings
  • Competition, race ready shim package
Bare in mind that this is the first of it's kind in a 5th Gen Camaro Street/Race Car...and OMG, top mount 90's... Jeeeeeze.......
