Looking for datalogger, not tuner...
Any recomendation on a logger that I can use for my laptop.
Wanted to just observe data, would also like to use it to measure my 0-60 times etc. I don't want to tune , so don't want to pay for those features. Thanks |

good luck with that one bud... most datalogging software has tuning software included like hptuners, diablosport, sct, vector powerflash

You can buy a Dashdaq and use that as the "in the car" computer. You accumulate data on an SD card and can save it on your computer using the card too.
I've got one and I like that I can monitor whatever I want while I'm driving. Basically, you can make any signal you want into a gauge. If you buy one, go for the GM extended codes license. |

HP Tuners has a VCM Scanner only package that does not include the editor software.

Your best bet would be to find a used HP Tuners cable. You can usually find one with a couple credits left for $300 or so, maybe cheaper. It'll let you log data, and if you change your mind, you can make changes for 2 credits. |

Have you looked into EFI live? Their pricing structure is a bit different from hp tuners but the full on EFI live V2 offers black box logging. Honestly not sure if just the scan only cable allows that or not.

That's why it's a BETA. They also tell you that if you have problems to let them know.
