V6 Camaro - V6 Mustang Rivalry
Researched the V6 2011 Mustang and the 2010 Camaro V6 specs
Camaro........V6 LLT 3.6L SIDI.................Mustang - 3.7L DOHC HP .............304HP (2011-312HP)............305HP Torque.........273................................ ...280 Gear Ratio....3.27..................................3.3 1 Weigth.........3780 (aprox)......................3400 (aprox) The war has begun....we Camaro owners should give these Mustang owners a run for their money.....and take it from them. Camaros are bigger and better looking than the Mustangs. I still like Mustangs and they are cool/fast cars but.....Camaros ROCK. Notice Ford had to have 1 more Liter and 1 more HP than the 2010 Camaro V6...WOW...one up-man-ship....C'mon Chevy...Yeah, O.K....312HP on the same 2010 engine...really?....oh I see conservative estimates....hmmm? One-up-man-ship.....who's first and what's next? Thoughtful and respectful comments on V6 Fords....cough/gag....and V6 Camaros are most welcome. Rivalry/competition...it makes all of us better.....what say you? |

For those not in the "know", the 2011 Mustang V-6 is a 13 sec. car stock. It is very formidable.

The v6 stang dynod around 315 to the crank. They are both great cars. As long as it's American, I'm happy

Easily Camaro wins in features .. In power .. Usually most stang drivers are dics and wanna be's so the skill of the driver determines the one so I wouldn't be too worried on stock racing but in my case always add mod to get that upper hand

I have seen three different 2011 mustang 1/4 mile posts, two on other forums and one here. The v6 stang with regular drivers have been running 14.3 to 14.5 down the strip. None of them stated their gear ratio, even after i tried to ask. Not as "blistering" fast as the stang lovers claim compared to the camaro. Competition is healthy. Always fun to mess with em even if i do get out ran.

WBT - we have a forum member LOSTNIGHT who owns the 2011 Mustang V6. His track times was 14.5s 1/4mi. Which is the same basic time for us. I don't believe even for one minute that the newer stang v6 is a 13.7s 1/4 car stock.

Not into the Camaro/Mustang wars. I think they are both nice rides.
As long as you like the car you have and are having fun driving it. We all win in the end.. It's all good. I have a few good friends that drive Mustangs. We never talk down our cars. But it sure is fun to poke a lil.. |
