Question Engine tapping?

So today noticed a tapping. Sounds like a lifter. Any thoughts of what else it could be before I tear into it.

It most likely is a lifter or a small piston slap.. Goes away when it's warm right?

Any chance it could be a header gasket leak? Any black markings around a header port?

I had a nasty engine tap that I was 100% sure was the lifters but it ended up being a header gasket leak.

I have a ss and mine never sounds like that. It makes a little tapping noise when it's cold or sits for days. but it goes away in 2 seconds.

Yes, it's the compressor. Says it could get stuck running or not turn on for some reason.
