That may be true with the LS3. My buddies was an LS2. He was not happy with it at all especially coming from an 2004 ZO6. Infact he sold it right after and bought a 2006 mustang and put a lower on it.

The motors in the 06 07 were terrible. For that price an 03 04 cobra would be a lot better.

I'm not going to argue with that. That's why he put a blower on it. In his case I think he was also disappointed in the auto that came in the 05 vettes.

There are a lot of strong 3V's out there, just need a good solid setup. Obviously, a Cobra is hands down a better car than a GT, let alone a 3V GT.

Well from his statement he traded a 05 vette for 06 gt so this sounded like it happened a few years back. So when that body style first changed u could get a 03 cobra for the price of a gt or cheaper. And I paid 13.5 few years back for one with under 60k miles. Yes I know u can find some with rare colors or verts with low miles for 25+ still.

But yes if u look at the cars with same miles now there is no contest on price. Being bc the 05-07's were dogs. Which was my point exactly. My statement was based on when they body styles were first changed. U could get the 03-04 much stronger car for the price of the new ones or less. Ford new they had to do something much better than they were doing in the gt's in the new body styles when the camaro came along and they did. That's what makes this competition so exciting. That's y ford and Chevy both need each other to keep rising the bar. I love all American muscle and I'm glad we have both. Everyone who is only for ford or only for Chevy needs to wake up and realize we need each other or we wouldn't have near what we have today in these cars 05-07 mustang had no competition at all and ford gave everyone a dog. After the monster they had in the 03-04's they were a major disappointment. Camaro went away and ford didn't have to compare its car to anything in its class and it showed. I for one am glad the rivalry is back

If you compare a base GT to an svt car, of course the GT is gonna be weaker. |
