Over all, I would say its not an issue selling a modded car (assuming they arent messed up), any more than selling a car thats has black seats, theres plenty of people who dont want black seats, but theres plenty of people who do....alot of people want modded, alot dont.... |

I just found this on GM warranties. "The manufacturer's 5-Year/100,000 Powertrain Warranty applies to new 2009/2010 GM vehicles, including Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC brand cars. GM does not require a formal transfer application or fees for this warranty. The coverage applies automatically to eligible GM vehicles, regardless of ownership. Whether you're buying or selling a used 2009/2010 GM car, you may want to confirm the automatic transfer process with the other party involved in the sale. Sellers may also want to advise buyers the plan covers the repair or replacement of most engine, drive system and transmission parts for up to 5 years or 100,000 miles."

I can tell you from my standpoint I would never purchase a car with moderate to heavy mods (performance) I would stick with a car with a CAI and exhaust no other performance mods just my personal preference
Tune, headers, SC, cam I do not care how sweet the car is I would stay away from it.

Wow, I was completely unaware that the M word that I used in my OP was so taboo. I wholeheartedly apologize to everybody who's day I ruined(which seems like alot) for failing to put the Ca in front of it. For those of you who gave constructive advice I really appreciate it.

Good point Angry. I guess if I were to let people know that I have had the mods for less than 500 miles with no 1/4 mile runs, and not many 6500RPM touches, it shouldn't be a problem.

If it's just bolt on mods it shouldn't matter.
After the bumper to bumper expires, it very rare to leave the dealer service without paying something. Lets say your engine does blow up after 4 years and 50,000 miles. First of all, they will do everything in their power to try to make it your fault, and by then you are already on the hook for them taking it apart. Then they will also replace a lot of things that aren't covered at your expense at the dealership rate. Lets say your 6 speed manual trans fails at 70,000 miles, well you can forget about them fixing that one for free. For instance, my boss blew the head gaskets on his diesel truck, it was covered under warranty but he still had to pay $2000 for non-covered items.

Well when someone selling a used car tells me something like that I usually don't believe them. How can you prove you are not lying about it just to sell the car? Some people will tell you anything you want to hear. Not saying you would lie about it but I for one am very scheptical about what anyone says good about a used car.
