Popular Mechanic's "Top 10 Movie Cars of All Time"

Pretty good list but I am sad that they failed to include "Elenor" and "Bumblebee"

Popular Mechanic's "Top 10 Movie Cars of All Time"

What other ones should have made the list?

I agreed with that list, except for the inclusion of the Tumbler and the Fast & Furious car...

The problem with both of those cars are that they are so new, they're fresh in everyone's minds....

Scrappy Doo's comment regarding Ecto 1 is a definite that should have been on the list, as everyone knows that car.

Eleanor was a bit of a stretch to me, as it wasn't as iconic as Bullitt...and I think the ppl in the list tried to keep it so that there weren't more than one of the same cars...however I wouldn't argue against her inclusion.

As for Bumble Bee...that is another one I cant really include...it's a robot half the time lol

My thought too...

And personally, well.. I'd have loved to seen the Swordfish Tuscan and Bumblebee in there (but I might be a little biased LOL)

Technically, the General Lee started out on a TV show....hence the reason it was excluded. Yes, there have been movies with it in it....but it was made popular by a TV show.

Same goes for the A-Team van, Knight Rider, etc..

Plenty!

"CHRISTINE"

"The Wraith" (Dodge M4S Interceptor)

"The Car"

and not the "Tumbler", but the Batmobile

I think the Charger from F&F is a good choice for the list. It is the only car in the whole series with a reoccurring role. It has been in 3 of the 5 films (so far) and is instantly recognized.

61 250 GT Daytona from Ferris Bueller's Day Off... "It's so choice."

On the humor list... the Pacer from Wayne's World.

I love Two Lane Blacktop....was my favorite along with American Graffiti until I saw "Hot Rod" on tv.
Come on now guys, a Hemi powered '41 straight axle, primered Willys coupe!! Them were the days you youngsters never got to enjoy. The 65 Plymouth at the beginning of the film isn't bad either!

You can watch the movie on line at youtube or a number of other places.
