2nd Annual Texas Camaro Meet OFFICIAL THREAD!!!!

The meet will be at Oasis in Austin once again on April 28th.There will be no racing guys just because there isn't quite enough interest in the track especially at $250 a pop. I will contact the Cabella's car meet people once again to see about heading over there that evening. I am going to work on a cruise again and make sure to put signs up at every turn this time. I can not change the poll since it is already set up so I'm going to count those who voted yes for either April 21st or both as a yes for the Oasis on the 28th meet so let me know if something has changed otherwise. Everyone else, vote for both in the poll if you are coming to Oasis on April 28th!!! Should be an even bigger crowd this year!!!

Link to last years meet: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...as+wide+camaro

The scheduled time to meet at Oasis is 12:30-3:30. After that we will attempt the cruise from last year only with a little more organization this time.

The folks from Austin and down south all met at this parking lot last year then headed to Oasis.

I would suggest we all plan on this again, lets say meet here around 11:20-11:40 and roll out at 11:40.

The folks who put on the Cabela's meet are going to rope off a section for us again this year but we need to show up around 6:30. We will probably have a bit of free time between the photo op and the car meet just like we did last year, but I figured you guys can head over to the Roadhouse next to Cabela's for some refreshments, check out Cabela's, do your own thing for a bit...etc.

The Oasis thinks that the balcony will be pretty tight with that many people so they have offered us to have the third floor room/balcony with a $20 all you can eat taco bar instead...pulled chicken and beef, all the fixings, chips and queso, and tortillas, plus all non alcoholic drinks and the tip are included. They will also set a bar up for us, for those who want to purchase adult beverages. BRING CASH!!!!!

This is the route for the cruise after Oasis. Pleeeeease take a look and put it into your GPS, print it out, whatever you have to do to become somewhat acquainted with it.

We will have a photo shoot at the end of the cruise at one of two garages. I will run by them in the morning and pick which one based on cars on the roofs. They are a block away on the same street(Martin Luther King Jr. BLVD) so it shouldn't make a big difference. They are free for the first half hour and $3 after that for a full hour. The link that shows both is below:

I will find out! I know it's not the high speed course as he said that would be a bit brutal on our brakes.

I'm in for the car show and for the track time if its on the 5th... since our little one is due on the 3rd of April, I'm sure I'll be letting Raven rest and be in charge of baby detail until at least the end of April.

so if its May 5th, I'm down for both... and if its before that, count me down for the show only.

Um, yeah...ask Camaro21 about the impact on your brakes when hitting the road racing course at max speeds! If you're not careful, you just might get a call from OnStar while you're racing around the course
