Don't Sleep on My V6

All the current FI kits make good power. Just have to decide what's your flavor.

Not sure if the V6 cars have a keyway in the crankshaft, but if not hopefully all you guys going supercharged are pinning your cranks. If not the crank will spin on the crankshaft.

Soon, still dealing with that damned baffle on the valve cover. Aaron had to completely redesign the evac system to keep from pulling all the oil out of the engine through the valve cover.

no pin. But I keep an eye on the pulley just incase. I think the belt will slip before the pulley spins

I might just wait for a blower system to come out for the LLT. Idk how power will match the turbo systems or the centrifugal supercharger kits though. I really would like to do twin turbo but everyone says they are a lot of maintenance but..... turbos can make a lot more power than a centrifugal supercharger and probably a blower from what
I've seen and read. |

Basically, what I'm saying is if you are looking for a kit, don't let the potential power inform your decision. All of them will probably hit the same limit on the LLT. Instead, focus on when the power is made in the RPM range, reliability and price. If you want a beast, then don't buy a kit; have someone build you a custom solution.

Is there not a way to put a different ECU on the car? I've seen it done with other cars. and say i went with a kit... what would be the best all around kit to buy?
And having someone build a a custom kit gets pretty costly... I've heard talks of 10K for custom and like 5-7K for a pre-built kit but that's another 3-5K more for maybe 50 HP more than what i can really pull out of this car. |

I'm not a good one to ask about the kits because I never had one. Mine was the first twin turbo LLT and some of what was learned then when into the RX kit. Never had a kit so I can't really tell you much about any of them except to say don't set your HP desires too high. They will make more power than the stock L99 and LS3, but you won't have the lowend torque on the superchargers. Take a look at the FI List (sticky at the top of the V6 forced induction section) and look what people are running. Then PM them for details.

Depends on the supercharger. Roots style superchargers can perform as well as turbo (better if the turbo isn't sized properly), but centri superchargers build boost linearly with RPM, so they don't provide enough air flow to give you the lowend torque to match a LS motor.
