It's a half plastic unibody car with tons of electrical. It's my firm belief that new cars now don't really have any collectible value as they will all be brittle and full of electrical gremlins in 30-40 years if they last that long.

IMO the vin won't matter much in terms of value (unless its #1 or #2). However, I do believe that the ZL1 will appreciate in value; The only problem is that it may take a couple of decades to see a rise in value.

The low VIN means nothin except it's older the most ZL1s. As we get closer to the 6th Gen these will drop in price more. The stock ZL1s will hold value more than modified ones. Used 12 ZL1s are now in 40s and getting lower in price with each month.
Case point the 4th Gen GMMG cars the most documented Camaros in history built with approval from GM and built with all OEM GM parts. These cars had a base price starting at $39k and topped out at $115k (these were phase I-IIIX cars) right now the value of the GMMG area are in the dumps these cars can be had for prices ranging from $18k-$100k+. These cars are super rare and very limited production. If you are looking to get out do it now because in 5 months the car will be worth less. Now if you purchased the car and put it away 30+ years from now the value should be pretty darn good or I hope so.

I personally don't think the low vin will matter at this point. vin 1 would matter for sure as you could shop it to some wealthy collector but that is where vin 1 is already.
supply and demand the only way to know is to try and sell. with new cars and waranty paranoia modding cars just usually translates into lost money unless you find just the right buyer.
