i don't think it's a matter of whether its a v6 or not. it's a Camaro. Camaros look good with stripes. so i say, slap em on there!

I guess I'm not understanding what would make the V6 a "wannabe" if it had stripes on it. Or why it would be looked down upon.

Please don't tell me we're talking about the lame "V8s are for real men and V6 is for wussies" thing. I SO hate that getting into those childish debates..

yea, i don't think that there's anything "wussy" about 300 hp especially from a v6

I say if ya like it do it, your money, and it looks great either way. I like the looks of the v6 over the v8 personally. No mail slot and trimmer front grill. But hey do what you want. I have been toying with this idea also, I orderd a v6 model. I finally decided to go without the stripes for now and if I change my mind I can always have em painted on later. I just don't like the idea that they are not painted on but are decals.

My wife wants to put the fascia with the mail slot on the Camaro we have ordered but I'm not so sure. Not because we would be copying the SS but because it's just to damn expensive! and I don't think....well, I'm sure I can't do the body work my self.

They put stripes on the V8 Mustangs and the Camaro V6 has about the same horsepower. I say if you like stripes, get stripes.

To me it's a little bit "wanna be", but there will be plenty of them running around so I say go for it. Any "wanna be" image will dissapear quickly. Besides, 300hp is nothing to laught at.
