I agree with all the Solo comments above. Great deep sound plus no drone at any RPM with my axle backs
on my L99 SS.

Have to add another positive post for the Solo cat-back. Had mine installed yesterday. It has a nice deep tone and absolutely no drone at cruising speeds.

Here's a little video I made comparing the sound of the LS3 factory exhaust with the Solo cat-back.

Solo's too "tame" for my taste... the Magnaflow gave a decent sounding low rumble, wasn't quite loud enough so I went with headers also, but heres a couple clips of the magnaflow competition series cat back...

Didn't notice the drone until the headers... nothing with the top down, but top up- 73-81 mph... horrendous. But again, the drone came was AFTER the headers... before, I never noticed and I ran about 2 months between...

I've heard EVERYTHING over the last 2 years... only thing I'd rather have was forced fabricate the Flowmaster American Thunders... otherwise, I'm completely satisfied with my sound, very unique for a vert.

Just outta curiosity, can you define "cruising speeds"? My drone begins at 73, and really hits at 75... but you drive outta it at 81+...

I think of cruising speeds when you're driving along in 5th or 6th gear. For me that's usually above 40 mph.

I did all city driving after the install on Monday and didn't go above the uppers 50's in speed. The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend. I'll make a point to take a little expressway run and see if I get any drone above 60.

I've got Kooks headers, hfc's into Solo Mach-X catback over a year now. Absolutely love it especially since the solo setup was half of what I could get a magnaflow catback for.

for those of you that installed the Solo units on your v6, do you have any sound tracks? Last year I installed Flowmaster American Thunder axle backs on my convertible but took them off after only two weeks. They were too bleepen loud. I couldn't here my XM radio.

I bought off website soloperformance.com for $499. Love it! Have had some drone I think. It may be the AFM I was told but not sure what that means. Doesn't do it if I use paddle shifters. I love the sound though!!
