DIC is Driver Information Console and it is a digital display between the Speedo and Tach and gives various info. There are several threads regarding this info.

Sorry to hear that. Ours was slowly dying of old age by the time it became "my" car. In cold weather only 3 of the cylinders would fire for the first few minutes. The dash was cracked apart, the radio antenna wouldn't go up or down, the ventilation system was worthless, and parts of the body were corroding. I still loved that car.

Yeah, just more cool factor! However, most folks that are droolig all over the car will probably not even notice they are missing if you get the 1SS.

LOL

I like having all of the extra info as opposed to idiot lights.
IMO having an Oil Pressure gauge is key especially if you start modding the car.

If you put any aftermarket audio equipment in, keeping an eye on that voltage drop might not be a bad idea either although you can get it aftermarket as well

Sounds like coolness it is!

40 years ago, if you lost oil pressure, or had high water temp, the gauges would let you know, it was the drivers job to shut the motor down before it fried. Today, the cars computer monitors the gauges, and goes into self protection mode if pressures/temps get out of hand. 4-pack is cool tho

i agree. i look at then when at stop lights all the time. i like to see exactly what's going on with my rides. i have never been a fan of idiot lights.

but they are designed after the 69' Camaro, which had them too......but i really like the functionality.

If you're a die hard bracket racer as I am, keeping all parameters the same run-to-run is essential. Therefore, they serve a definite purpose for me. Just got my 2SS/RS Wed. afternoon, I've got 200 miles on it, and yes, I will be at the track tomorrow. I'm pretty sure it will be the first 2010 Camaro to go down the track there. Can't wait!

They need to be moved up in future year models to improve safety imo.

They should be at or above the eye level of the main instrument cluster.
