My ridiculous story after driving off the lot.

Welp, when I bought my LS (now I own the 2SS) I was a very happy guy. Got all the paper work done and they handed me the keys (greatest feeling in the world when those get handed to you). Got in my brand new victory red 2012 Camaro and started it up. Drove out of the lot...not even 2 minutes into my drive from the lot a rock from a truck cracks my windshield. Basically ruined my new car experience. So before my car ever got to see its new home I was off to safelight to get a qoute on a new windshield and put in the order for it. Then I brought my brand new 2012 camaro with a cracked windshield home. My life . Now I own the 2SS and that's an amazing machine.

I'd ask for the windshield back, spray the back of it with undercoat rubber, and hang it on the garage wall...away from the car with a window sticker on it like "HOT 2011"

Warranty doesn't cover that? I would of turned right around and taken it to the dealer.

I got a rock chip right in my windshield after 2 weeks. I filled it in with black paint. Tiny chip so I hid it well. Cracks are terrible, not for repair most of the time.

That sucks. I would be bummed out too. I just picked up my 2ss/rs and my drive home was shitty too but not like yours, we still had a lot of snow on the ground and I live on a unmaintained driveway basically out in the middle of nowhere. Snow ruts from my truck that were about 4-5" deep. Long story short I went down my long driveway and my rear slid out and I stopped immedietly because I did not want to mess up my new car I was 100 feet from garage and had to get a tow truck to get to my garage and it was snowing! I was freaked, it sat in my garage for 8 days before I could drive up my drive way to the main road. I was out every day with a pick axe and shovel trying to get the ice and snow off. Congrats on your new car.

Warranties cover defects from the manufacture. No differet if driving home from the dealership somebody rear ends you. Warranty wouldn't cover that either; those are insurance issues.

These windshields are the cheapest made POS I have ever seen. I am on my 2nd one now and this has a chip in it also. Meanwhile my 02 Trailblazer with over 100k miles has a chip in the middle of it from a large rock the size of a baseball that flew off a trailer back in 06 and has never spread. The camaro windshield cracked like a piece of ice from a pebble.

same thing with me! after 2 weeks of owning my Camaro a small rock cracked my windshield on the passenger side. called to get it fixed and this guy came to look at it and told me it wasn't a for sure thing it'll fix or hold it together since the crack was ugly. he said just to ride it out and if it gets worse to get a new windshield. it's been months and the crack has gotten a bit bigger, but not to the point where i need to get a new one.

How would that be a warranty issue. It's the same as if you drove off the lot an got hit by another car.

Let's say there was a service bulletin on windshields, or the seals that go around the windshield... A poor seal wouldn't cause unnecessary stress on a windshield? I've read numerous posts involving poor sealing and wind noise causing owners to get it replaced.
