That's the one that rings truest for me! During the winter when the days are short and light is limited I'll usually wash the wheels and undercarriage on one afternoon, and do the rest of the car the following day.

Last week my Mom called and asked how I would be spending my Easter Sunday. I told her "I'll be washing and waxing my car."
"No, it's a holiday - do something relaxing that you'll enjoy!"
"I am... I'll be washing and waxing my car."

A few more for the list:
- You schedule your week of vacation to occur during dry season so you can spend it doing a full strip and seal detail.
- You decide to stay in and eat at home instead of going out because it just rained and the streets are muddy
- The inside of your trunk and engine compartment are cleaner than the neighbors' cars exteriors

Guilty of #3 & 4 all the time

I probably have more microfiber a just in my vehicles than normal people own in total

Or you build your own rack to hold some of your products you use?

Or you stumble on the perfect holder for your Adam's products?

It has been said on the Meguiar's Forum that: "This is supposed to BE your therapy, not your REASON for therapy."

How bad do I have it, well I found out last week...

I slightly tore a pec muscle a couple weeks ago in the gym, and really can't put pressure on that side of my arm, or put pressure on my hand, for things like buffing.

But did that stop me from washing, doing paint correction, polishing, sealing, waxing... nope, did it with my 'good' hand. It did take longer than I was hoping, but the car needed it, and I was ready for the challenge. Let's just say I did it with one arm tied behind my back.

Yeah, I need help, I have reached the bottom of being a Detail Junkie.

I'm guilty, I'm glad when I spill on myself rather than the interior. Sometime this week I am taking my Camaro to a local detailer to have the interior shampooed. I am sure it will be the cleanest interior her has done!! lol! I figure after 6 years it just needs some freshening up.

When we came back to the car after dinner she stumbled in the rocks and grabbed on to the window of my car door to support herself. The first thing that came out of my mouth was, "Don't put weight on the window like that!!!!" Of course I had a nice response back about how I was more concerned about my car's window then her rolled ankle.
My wife hates when I do that especially if we go to target or say walmart. I park so far from the store and she has to walk her facial expression and the language that comes with it. Priceless

Pretty much all these ring true with me, and having a black car just adds to it. Oh is that some dust I see? Guess it needs washed and detailed spray. We are detailing savages. I got one

Lol this is accurate for me too. When they tell me it will be all polished up, i tell them "no cause I'd rather not have whoever you think is good a buffing try". Then they look all offended.....must be just me....i dunno

And yeah i own 1 bottle of combined shampoo, body wash and face wash for myself. But i have different cleaning products for every surface of the car. So... Hi im Derek and im an auto detailing-aholic
