Kids shouldn't be playing around on their skateboards at an intersection. You'd think the cop would've have seen that and ticketed the kids. But then again, that would've required them to stop and get out of the car and talk to the kids.

Oh well, at least the damage wasn't too bad. Hope your insurance premium doesn't increase due to the claim.

As a kid, I'm sure you never played around at an intersection/corner in your hood, right?

I would rather have them at the corner/intersection where I can see them... instead, I have them playing in between cars/trucks parked on the street... that's much safer as I'm driving by.

There are a lot of kids in my neighborhood but I hardly see any play in the streets. I guess they are inside on the internet or playing video games.

As a kid, if I was going to play on my skateboard, I would go to the local playground (remember those?) or a city park where you can do stuff like that. Luckily, the kid didn't get hurt. If he did, the parents would probably get sue happy and try to make money off the kid's negligence. Unfortunately, good parenting to make responsible kids these days is severely lacking, it seems.
