It's generally not needed. It may be nice but knowing what RPM your at and the speed is usually enough especially once you put your hand on the shifter. The only thing i may want from the Z would be the auto rev sync for the manual.

Manual is cheaper than the automatic. Adding this into the cost is not needed.

And, if you can't tell what gear you're in by feel, by engine noise and just remembering what you were doing...well...maybe you should have an automatic.

Yes, it would be cool...but that's it. Why add to the cost of the car for something that 9 out of 10 people don't even need or want. If you want it, find an aftermarket way of doing it. But don't add it from the factory.

Just because some other cars have a manual gear indicator, doesn't mean it's necessary. If you don't know what gear you're in, you shouldn't be driving a manual.
