I want to go but I will probably go farther than El Paso the first day. Maybe not though. The absolute best place we could stay for a night is at the La Posada hotel in Winslow, Az. It's incredibly awesome. I would not want to make the drive from DFW to there in one day though. DFW to Albuquerque is long enough.

Everything is still up in the air... Nothing set in stone yet.. I would like to get there in enough time to get "Rubye" cleaned up and ready for a fun couple of days!!!!

Camaro21, are you planning on leaving DFW and coming down I-20 towards abilene... or going south on 35 and maybe going into Waco down towards austin and meeting up with the SA group? We might look at getting the Okies to meet up with us in DFW, and then head south and merge with the houston/SA group around austin, or us cut south from waco through federicksberg and all meet up on I 10!

Oh We are going!

I was thinking about driving down to waco and meeting up with the SA/ houston / Waco / and anyone from LA, AL, and so forth that might be coming that way! It only adds to hours to the drive changing it from Going to I-20 from Dallas to El-paso TO I-35 to Austin to I-10 to El-paso.

Missy and I talked about going to dallas the night before then meeting up with anyone in Dallas and then driving either back to abilene on I-20 or going south and meeting up with everyone else! The more the merrier!

FYI, this stretch of highway in the Apache National Forest is supposed to be an excellent scenic drive. We were going to take it on the way to Vegas but didn't have time. 100+ miles of dunes and forest. It sounds epic.

Wow it must be epic, it's over a 7 hour detour from I-10 if we were to exit and go that direction! Man there are so many things to do on the way there! lol What are we going to do!

It's way out of the way if coming from El Paso. The only way I can see it being doable is if you're coming in to Az. on 40.

That might be neat to do on the way home. Get a group to caravan home and go through there!
