Post Fast Lsxr 102 worth it for L99?

I have been thinking about getting a Fast Lsxr 102 manifold setup for my 2011 camaro SS L99. I have been reading reviews stating that you dont see much gains from this setup well at least for the L99. Does anybody have this on a automatic and tell me if it was worth it or not. Thanks in advance.

You won't see much gain on a stock vehicle if any. If you plan on adding a big cam or a stroker motor it makes a ton of sense.

No.

Once you go FI or Big Cubes yes.

Port the factory one and pick up a NW TB unit and get it on!

Depends where your goal for the vehicle lies...if you just want a basic bolt-on's car...I wouldn't bother...the $$$/HP ratio isn't really there for a car like that. If you want to go for the all out leave nothing on the table version of the car you want to build (and that version of the car is not a blower that'd replace the manifold)...then you can't not buy the FAST 102...a ported FAST 102 will hands down beat a stock or ported stock LS3 manifold...not by a lot, but it will beat it.

You will loose power. I saw a test where the FAST lost power at every RPM until like 5k where it started to finally make power but only made a total of like 7RWHP. lol
The power it lost under the curve was big. This was on a Mast heads and VVT-2 cam with all boltons. The loss would have been even worse if you were putting it on a stock L99 heads and cam car. I would only use it on stroker combos or with a turbo or centri SC pumping into it.

It's amazing what sponsorship money can do to test results.

I have it installed. There was not a decrease in power. I plan to go blown (ProCharger) and do some other mods so it fits in the master scheme. FWIW, I have lab results on multiple runs, multiple cars showing increases in HP.

Throughout the rev range? On a mild LS3? Would like to see the results.

The FAST intake was great for 97-2000 LS1 engines even in stock form as it increased power quite a bit but our LS3 intake is much, much better than the LS1 intake.

They don't advertise it as making as much over stock either because you're right, the stock LS3 manifold is better than the older LS1 and LS2 manifolds were (and to some extent probably better than the LS6 was as well)...but you definitely don't lose power with it.

LSX FAST intake

I installed the FAST intake on my LS7 427 ci, fully balanced , blueprinted, forged motor. 305 cc MAST heads, B&B header and exhaust system, cold air intake, full tune.

Not only did the motor lose power, their fuel rails do not fit their intake exactly square without grinding. The idler pulley interferes with the throttle body because the FAST manifold is not dimensionally exact to the stock manifold.

They left two fasterners and the pulley shim out of the box, I called to ask if they would sell me the missing parts, answer was no.

Save your money.
