We're proud to announce that we now have the Texas Speed & Performance 2010 Camaro SS underdrive pulley kits in stock & ready to ship!

This complete underdrive pulley kit features a 2010 Camaro SS underdrive pulley, new AC belt, new serpentine belt, and crankshaft bolt.

The TSP pulley kit has been designed so that you can bolt the package on in your garage with no lift or special tools!

The test car was a stock M6 car with only a catback. Pull 16 was stock with the Rumbler 5 catback, pull 19s only change was the pulley install!

Dyno results show 9hp & 8tq just by bolting on this kit!

I have never heard of this type of technology for gaining HP. How does it do it?

Parasitic Drag

A smaller pulley lightens the load on the engine. It will drive the accessories slower, which can reduce the battery charge and cause issues for those with bigger amplifiers, drive the AC compressor to be less efficient, and slow the water pump. The trick for the designer / manufacturer is to pick a ratio that doesn't adversely impact the performance of these devices.

In the end, your engine spends more energy driving the rear wheels.
You'll notice your car is slower with the AC on, because the compressor is engaged - cooling your cabin, this is parasitic drag.

Did that mod on my 2000 Z28 and gained 11rwh .That crank pulley bolt is special and is torque to yield. It can only be used once.

wouldn't that defeat the point?

Anyway, in my opinion this type of Cheap HP is kinda dangerous. Everything that is connected to that pulley was designed to run with the factory pulley. You are no doubt going to lessen the life of everything connected to the belt because it has to run harder. I know modifications are made to the engine all the time that increase hp and make the engine run differently to get those gains; however, your engine has sensors everywhere to make it run differently to compensate for those changes so everything runs nice and dandy. Nothing connected to the belts, except for the engine of course, has any type of sensor to help it self adjust to the changes so you are inevitably going to shorten the parts life.

Just my opinion though...

not really. you still underdrive the rest of the accessories, but you get the original amperage from the alternator.

The Amprege is not a factor on vehicles where the alternator is not driving huge Stereo's with numerous amps and subwoofers. Would not do it on that kind of vehicle. Otherwise it is invisable to normal weather and driving.
