Front splash guards won't adhere

I'm using the recommended 3M 6930 body molding tape and prepping both surfaces with alcohol. They will not stay stuck to the fender. I really don't want to use the clips. Anybody care to offer any different products or methods that have worked to help these things adhere?

Thanks!

I used 3M Advanced Super Strength Molding Tape. Item number 03614.

It's got a red backing on the tape and the package has a green stripe across the top and a white 2 with a green background in the upper right corner.

I fully prepped each surface by rubbing down with the purest rubbing alcohol I could find (99.8%) and it's held firm for two years.

It's important to put the tape on the fender first, with the red side facing out then pulling off the red backing as you move up. The directions state which side should be attached to the plastic and which should be attached to the metal. It's also important to press firmly for several seconds/minutes as to ensure a good strong bond.

I used 3M extreme that I bought at lowes. They've only been on two days but no issues yet.

Ditto and mine have been on 5 months and I wash the car with a power washer. They are holding very well.
