Yeah I thought this was old news guys.

Start at page 6.

http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showth...=426656&page=6

I have run these pads for weeks without washing the car due to my busy schedule sometimes and the wheels look like the cleanest thing on my car.

no difference in braking power either.

I highly recommend them!

Thanks Heath! Appreciate that! I'm sitting on the fence until I hear your Review......... Based on what others have said, looks to be a good investment!

It would be nice to meet some of you in person.
I'll be at Camaro Nationals. I may head up to Carlisle that weekend as well. I liked it when they were both held in Carlisle on the same weekend.

My wheels are coated with Hydro2 but with the old pads there was no rinsing off. Braking is nearly identical, I suspect though on a track day you'd notice a difference.

I wish I would have done this at mile 5 lol, the dust really annoyed me.

Simply pop out the pins remove the detent spring, slide out the pads, replace the pins/detent. A punch and a small hammer is all you need and 20 minutes max

Yeah, I remember seeing the posts a while back. Sometime I get a bit distr.....SQUIRREL!

Have to admit the last time I did any brake pads they were on drums. That was a little more involved. I've lost touch with my inner mechanic.......
..............and his ramps, jack, jack stands.........

Appreciate you're information and now I just have to sway my funding committee.

Agree 100% with the other posts; identical feel on the street and virtually no dust. Amazon and the other retailers I saw are showing the wrong part number for the front pads - the 1474 is for the 5th Gen and has the external counterweights. The 1474A shown on the Powerstop site is the correct pad and an exact replacement.

I also swapped out the OEM pads shortly after buying my Fifty due to dust and brake squeal to the PowerStop pads. So easy to do and very little dust. Best mod you can do. I was going nuts cleaning the wheels every time I drove it and I would get embarrassed from the noise when I would hit the brakes.

Does anybody have or notice any slight indentions just over the rear fenders. Particular down that center crease line. I wasn't sure if this is just something all of them have or did I do it when I was leaning over the car washing the wheels. Bracing myself a little I felt the sheet metal just cave in. Yikes.

I may have a PDR guy come take a look at getting them out but was just curious.

THanks!

Can't say that I recall that. But I will look tonight, if I remember when I get home, otherwise tomorrow when I go out.

I've heard and read about the "dimples". I don't have any.

I just read a few threads on it and it appears to be a common issue. They can occur from leaning over the fender when tinting the rear window or resting your hand like I did when leaning over to clean the side panel or wheels. It will make the sound one guy called "Oil Canning". That distinct sound an old oil can makes as it deforms when you press on the sides.

Now that I know better I will make sure to never put my hand on there and get a PDR guy to get these couple tiny ones out.

I read the same things, afterwards I went and looked at the car. No dimples. So I make sure I don't put any pressure on the body. I don't let anyone touch the body anyhow.

Just went and looked at mine. Negative on the "dimples".

Like Heath said I usually make sure not to lean or put any pressure on the body.

Hope you can get it fixed Dysan911.

Thanks for checking guys. I've got a PDR guy coming out Thursday morning to have a look. He's got a great reputation for doing great work.

Yeah I normally am very careful about leaning against the car etc but I was really surprised at how little it took to make that rear fender aka quarter panel deform like that so quickly. After it's fixed I will be extremely super careful with it now that I know.
