Convertible Rear Seat Cover/Doggie Protection

Does anybody have a cover on their rear seat? How does it fit? Where did you buy it from? And was it pain in the butt to install?

I have a 70lbs white pitbull that sheds all over my black seats when I take him out for a ride. He generally sits still, wears a doggie seatbelt, and doesn't cause too much trouble, but I would like to put a cover on the seat to protect it. Sheets and towels never stay put.

I see other threads about seat covers but it seems everybody has the coupe. I want to hear from a convertible owner. Or if you have another method of protecting your seats with the top down (not bringing my dog is NOT an option. I got the car to enjoy, and you only live once.)

I saw your post on another thread and that is simply amazing. Such a great build!

It keeps them off the seat and for your little guy lets him look out. I love it.

I use kitchen/bath mats. They are rubber and pretty tough but soft on the seats and dog. I used bungie cords on each end to keep it down. It has worked great. I also keep a towel to cover the door sill when they jump in and out.

Had a friend do the upholstery work when she was installing my seats. Just made a plywood base, one side covered with pet friendly carpet with hook to attach leashes; other side in matching black/red stitching. Held in place with clips/tighteners that attach to seat belt mounting points. The netting is held up with fiberglass pole that goes into the OEM windscreen holes.
