Purple Power/Simple Green for intake cleaning??? Opinions

I had a guy recommend to me last night not to use SeaFoam, CRC, Throttle Body/Fuel Injector Cleaner to clean my intake runners & valves. He even shied away from walnut and soda blasting, saying that the blasting media breaks into even smaller bits when it hits the steel/aluminum of the head & valves and gets into places you don't want them to go ... even in a cylinder with the valves fully closed and suggested Purple Power-All Purpose Cleaner diluted 1:1 to clean out the engine.

Needless to say, I find this hard to believe.

Opinions?
