Yeah, his car grenaded a turbo on one of the practice runs. They think rubber from the burn out got in it, clogged it, and it blew a seal. He ran 12.2 at like 117 on that practice run. Jeff's not the most experienced racer either, but does "OK". He's more in to shows.

Fort he actual runs that counted, I'm not sure the turbos were even hooked up at all, but if they were only one worked so he was getting like 4-5psi of boost, loosing about 125 or so RWHP. Forum Wars wouldn't allow him any time to make repairs, and of course they're not gonna give that detail on the show as it doesn't make for "good TV".

The guy we originally chose from CT blew up his motor a couple months before, so Jeff stepped in to fill-in so we had representation. He's a good guy and stepped up when someone was needed and took on all that expense to travel from OH

From some of the things FWs did, I'm not too impressed with them. One poor guy drove across the country and because his opponent didn't show they just told him to go back home. WTF?! All that time and money and they don't even let him run? Should have let him do what he could do and say that opponent from whatever forum wussed out.

No Camaros in the lot but 6 very nice looking Challengers all parked together bullying a small corner of the lot. I parked my Camaro right in the middle of them. LOL!! When they saw me park and get out of the car they were on the outside deck and yelled at me to come on up and join them. I had a hell of a good time hanging out with those guys. Very nice group who were great sports the whole weekend letting the Camaros beat up on them at the track. Couple of those cars had some real HP under the hoods. I'm hoping to make it down to their Challenger Fest in Bowling Green KY this year. I missed their first one last year.
You missed it again this year man! It was April 30. A couple of your guys from here showed up and I think they had a good time. Don't forget that SRT5939 nearly WON Camaro5Fest1 in his Challenger. I think he ended up in the top three haha and the cute gal in the 68' Camaro beat him out.

Wish you'd come down for CF2. I put a good spankin' on my co-workers 640RWHP Mustang Cobra you'd have gotten a kick out of seeing that one. I'd have liked to line up next to your car as well. I had a CF2 thread on this forum inviting you guys. We had about 70 cars show up and 200 or so spectators.

The Sixers are no joke! Especially in the handling department, lighter, more nimble etc. I am pretty sure a done up V6 would even give me a run for my money.

And the same to you sir! I have some video when Aaron was right on my a$$ on the track, I guess that's you in the passenger seat haha!

See you next year

Looks like my episode is next week but I didn't do near as well on the autocross portion compared to you. That is partially to blame on allseason 235 pirellis but mostly lack of driving experience.
Hey Van!

Thanks so much, I wish we would have talked some more when I was there. Next time I'm in Houston I'll have to come by!

Yeah those 235 All seasons are not really what I would call a handling tire Let me know when you need some tires that can turn instead of those other sticky things you are running haha

Hey Eric. Hope all is well. Kinda cool seeing you perform on the show.

Didn't your car put down close to 500rwhp with the H/C? You don't have it mentioned in your sig.

Thanks man!

478rwhp/434rwtq were my final numbers. I am throwing on a Fast LS/X Intake Manifold this weekend and see IF we pick up any power!

Slightly yes, but that was more the case of me putting over 36000 miles on her in under a year, where about half are actual race miles and me wanting to keep her on the safer side. She see's about 7200rpm every time she is driven, and for what I do with her (road course) a couple extra HP is not going to win a race, a well dialed in suspension and me getting more experience on track is.

I could probably take away another 100hp and still be faster today then I was a year ago when the car was just built!

When we retuned her for the road course, we picked up a lot of HP in the bottom end and midrange which helps so much more then peak hp at the track, and we will be retuning her shortly once we get the LSXR Intake on her! I am looking forward to see if, and if so where we pick up som HP. We will be sure to post the results here.

I agree, I really love the sound of her. I have never had a better sounding car myself and I never get bored of it

I saw your car at the PRI show last year and it looked and sounded awesome. I'll be seeing you in a couple of weeks at Sebring and by the sounds of it will probably be seeing a lot of your tail lights. You'll have to give me some pointers. And good job with the forum wars too.

I see the camaro owners overlook the fact that in a foot race if you have two legs and beat a man with one leg...is it really winning? But great driving none the less...just recognize that the challenger ran as slow as it did because the turbo was fried in the practice run and he was basically running just to finish out the show in spite of damaging his car. Jeff knew he lost once the turbo blew but he ran his car in the actual race anyway and the show (and his opponent) failed to mention that little fact...now if he hadn't had that handicap who knows what would've happened

I compared the guy in the Mustang GT against Erik's Times... Mustang GT would lose too.. Camaro5 is undefeated in Forum Wars by the way...
GREAT JOB ERIK!!!

By the way reliability in any race can win or lose it. The Challenger was not reliable so it lost on that count alone. It's all part of the game...
Just like the Corvette Z06 had clutch problems.

I'll be honest - Erik won - not the camaro. You could have swapped the cars and drivers and Erik would have won in the last two. 1/4 would have been who ever got off the line first. Camaro still a better handling car for the reason Erik stated though.
