Detailing is a full time job
Alright folks so here's the deal I never detailed a car in my life until today. And I'm still not finish. lol !! Started at 11am The sun was shining so I gave it a few minutes before starting(was waiting for a little shade). Started out washing the wheels, then I proceded to the two bucket wash,(believe I did it right according to adam), then I managed get the swirl and haze polish down and it is now 8:16. That alone took me 9hrs to do. Tomorrow I have the fine polish to do and the wax then I'm done. Wondering if that will take me another two days? lol !! I must say I truly enjoyed caring for my girl, and made a vow never to go to a wash again. Only handwash from now on for her. What a difference in looks from the way the carwash people do it. How long does it take you guys to get the job done, and do you follow Adams why throughout or you have shortcuts to the shine?

takes me about 20 to wash, 5 to dry. of course I pretty much wash it every week, or every 100 miles or so.

If you are OCD like me, then yeah it will take a long time. But I love taking my time cleaning her and waxing and detailing. making a whole or half day out of it. the more you maintain her the less you have to do in the long run. Like CAM2011 said, drinks, sun and relaxation. definitely Camaro Theropy

I only do the full Porter Cable thing twice a year. With that, it's a full day starting around 8:00 AM.
Regular wash and dry is about two hours, but I have extra cleaning to do in the engine bay. About once a quarter, I'll do the Leather Cleaner and Leather Conditioner. For those times, about three hours.
