Barton Shift knob installation problem

I recently got a barton shift knob engraved with "RS" for my birthday. I haven't found anywhere that these won't fit a 2013.

Here's the link - http://www.apex-speed.com/barton-ind...le-camaro.html

Let me try to clarify my problem. It seems that the base shifter rod has changed from the 2010-2012 Camaro. I believe this shift knob and adapter must've been made for only the earlier year Camaros. There is no longer a channel like I've seen in you tube videos for the adapter to sit in. Also the base shift rod for the 2013 seems to have a squared off side to it. Unless I got a defective adapter it will not fit on the shift rod.

Anyone have any input or heard of this before?

You are correct that the shifter handle changed in 2013. I ran into a similar problem installing a Hurst shifter on my Camaro. The newer shift knob attaches to the handle with a screw.
