ROTO FAB new mods

Here are a few pics from the Roto-fab intake mods.
1 is the new powdercoated color match box and the other is a polished version of the air box. Which one do you like the best?

They're both very sexy, but I prefer the color-matched air box.

Sweet! I like the color matched box a little better. Either way, I think it looks great!

yuck! Both look like crap and don't belong in the car. Start over. Take those off and send them to me, I'll pay for shipping just to get them off your hands. Thanks.
Seriously, I like the body colored one.

How hard was it to split the engine cover and use the factory covers with the Magnuson? It looks amazing and I have a RJT that I want to use the covers with my blower.

Hennessey sells the modified engine cover for the Maggie. $495 for modified stock color cover and $695 for the painted ones. They told me they would have to order the cover from GM, and that could take weeks, then modify it. I offered to send them my painted one but they still wanted $495. So I did the math.

Unpainted cover $175 (approx)
Modification (parts & labor) $320
total= $495

Add $200 for painted cover = $695

Customer Supplied cover $0
Modification (parts & labor) $320
Total = $320 (yet they wanted $495!!!

However, a member here said you can just buy the brackets from Hennessey.

I had mine modded when Maggie got installed last week by RPM Motors in Santa Clarita. The cover is solidly mounted, no movement whatsoever and looks awesome! Look for yourself.

Nice Job,

It was a pain in the ass....Mostly it was the painting that was the hardest part. But you just need a dremel tool.

My engine cover is pre-painted from the factory. Will it need painted again after it's split?

the color matched one seems like it makes it "too" yellow. the polished compliments the supercharger well.

You would need to paint it again if you want it perfect!
