what is this? test mode?????

so I was on my way to work today and my ipod touch was not interfacing with my radio like it should so i was trying to remember what to push to get the software info to see if i needed an update and i was holding down random buttons when i got to the configure button i held it for about 7 seconds and this pops up

does anybody know what this is for??

My guess is that the tech guru's are getting to/at work right now... By lunch time, someone with the proper knowledge will likely pipe in... Otherwise, quitting time may have to get here before your answer appears.

I'll wager you need the supplier's test equipment to do anything with it. There is nothing in the Service Manual about it, so a dealer would have no clue what it is for.

I remember a few years back, Vettes had a similar radio mode. And someone that happened to work for Delphi commented it was for their internal testing and you needed their super expensive test equipment to do anything with it. Basically, they put the radio in that mode, and then their test equipment cycles the radio through a bunch of validation tests.

I'm not sure who the Camaro's radio supplier is, but I bet they have a gizmo that does some wizzbang stuff in that mode.
