Please analyze my time slips almost the 11s

I took my camaro to the track for the first time last night. My tires are stock and about 75% worn out. I am not too good at this point understanding the overall information on the time slips. Other than the bad tires where is there room for improvment and what would you think I could run with drag radials or slicks? Just trying to learn and understand this. Forget the last slower pass I spun on the high end (yes it was exciting) I just could not break into the 11s

You need to get some tires. There is alot of improvement in your 60' with only having one sub 2.0 60. On my car I average around a 1.5 increase in quarter mile E.T. for every tenth gained in the 60'. Not all cars are the same but thats where I would start!

If you bought a dr tire you would prolly have that 11 sec pass the first pass you make. Your 60 foot is prolly about as good as it gets with worn out tires. Improve that just another tenth and go 11's.

With 559RWHP you should be WAY better than that. Yeah, those tires are killing you. That car should be capable of mid 11's or better.

I agree and with that MPH it could be a low 11 if he can mantain 120+ when the car hooks!

I did about everything I could to get off the line with these tires, but it had a lot of tire spin. Do all the intermediant times look normal? It seemed at times I was even having issues with traction on the higher end as well? On the first run (no time slip posted maybe I need to find it) I and some of the others saw I did not have any traction all the way down the track on that first run. I was just courious if the time slips would show if this continued? No doubt I will need different tires, I just think I need to invest in some better axles first or I may end up with broken axles like a lot of others seem to be experiencing. Thanks for the input, at least I was able to stay fairly consistant with my times good or bad.

I was not planning on going back, I had my fun last night and the car is still on the road (with stock axles). I appreciate the offer, but I do not want to chance braking an axle. I have said it over and over to myself if I get DRs or slicks I better get axles first, so for now I am still sticking to this.

I will go back sometime this year. I am going to start looking for some 18" wheels and drag radials or slicks. Still debating on what axles to get as well. This should help. I will definately let you know.

Looking at your slips, your 3rd run (07:44) would have been in the 11's but looks like you didn't get a chance for a cool down and the heat (high ect/iat pulled timing) must have killed the power on that run.

If you are having traction problems all the way down the track I have one question. Does your car seem to burn out more on one side than the other. Mine was driver side would burn passenger would not. I tried adding more air (27 left, 25 right). did not help. found that I broke the clutch pack in the rear. I would have that checked after you try the differential air pressure.

I had 30 lbs in both rear tires. Both tires were spinning, I could feel the car drifting and had to steer into the slide slightly. Others there saw the sliding as well, nothing too bad and I felt under control it was just a small offset slide all the way through third gear into 4th. There was nothing I felt for me to think everything was not equal on both sides. This happen on my first run (not one of the posted time slips) and the slower 2 runs I made.
