CGM Colored Engine Cover / Bow-Tie?

I've been toying with the idea of changing the bow-ties to match the body color of the car, or possibly blacking them out. Was wondering if anyone had pics of CGM Bow-Ties on CGM, because I just can't find them using the search tool.

Also, I wanted to paint my own engine cover like several other DIY posters have done, however I have been unable to find anyone that has done it with CGM!! Anyone have some pics of this as well and maybe a list of what paints they used??

I did my own engine cover. Got the paint from the dealer, prepped the cover, painted a few coats and wha-la. Very easy to do. I have a pic of it in my album, and I think I have better pics in one of Showstopper threads of their under hood bling.

I have black stripes, so I went with black vinyl on the bowties. There is a member with the CGM painted bowtie and it looks great!

Solid black bowties look awesome on CGM. There is just enough contrast to make them out but they look really subtle. IMHO I think that CGM bowties on CGM paint blend in a little too much.

The black vinyl looks sweet. I got it on there today. The back emblem was no problem, but the front one was a pain. I had to cut down the middle to get the vinyl to lay flat, but it doesn't line up PERFECT... Good enough to test it out though and see if I like it a month from now...

Anyone have any ideas on how to make it more seamless? Or maybe some trick to get one piece of vinyl to lay flat on the emblem without folding over itself?
