4 Guage pack just died on me :(

Not sure what happened, but the 4-guage cluster (battery, oil, etc) just died. None of the meters move and the lights on it are out. Is this cluster on a separate fuse from the rest of the dashboard?

Mine did this about 2 months ago - took it in to the dealer - they found the plug to be faulty - they replaced it - good as new.

Service Information

#PI0327B: Center Console Multifunction Auxiliary Gauges Inoperative - (Dec 15, 2011)

Subject:Center Console Multifunction Auxiliary Gauges Inoperative

Models:2010-2012 Chevrolet Camaro
Equipped with RPO UMQ, UXQ or Auxiliary Gauge Package (Front Floor Console Front Cover Package)

This PI is being revised to add the 2012 model year and update the repair steps. Please discard PI0327A. Condition/Concern

Some customers may comment that the center console multifunction auxiliary gauges do not function or function intermittently.
This condition may be caused by a poor connection between the gauge assembly and the front floor console front cover wiring harness. This connection is located at the rear of the gauge assembly.
Recommendation/Instructions

Use the following steps to remove the gauge assembly and apply a mastic patch that will stabilize the harness to gauge connection.
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Move the transmission shift assembly to the most rearward position possible.

3. Use a flat-bladed plastic trim tool and release the retainer tabs securing the front floor console front cover to the console assembly (1). Make sure the connector is fully seated. If you hear a click when you push it, that means it wasn't fully seated before. Charge Labor Code N6654.

4. Start the vehicle and wiggle the connector at the gauge pack while observing the gauges. Look for intermittent movement or flickering of the gauge needles while wiggling the harness connector. If there was any needle movement, perform a drag test of all the terminals in the harness connector looking for terminals that may have loose tension. Replace any loose terminals as required. Charge Labor Code N6650.

5. Make sure the connector is fully seated between the gauge pack harness and the floor console harness. If you hear a click when you push it, that means it wasn't fully seated.

Look for intermittent movement or flickering of the gauge needles while wiggling the harness connector. If there was any needle movement, perform a drag test of all the terminals in the harness connector looking for terminals that may have loose tension. Replace any loose terminals as required.
6. If the gauge pack is working properly now, apply dielectric grease to the gauge pack harness connectors. Use GM Dielectric Lubricant P/N 12377900 (in Canada, use 10953529) or the equivalent.
7. Reconnect the harness to the gauge assembly.

8. Install a mastic patch, such as *Kent Industries Part # KT13080 Sealing Compound Patch 2 1/8” X 2 1/8” or the equivalent, as shown to reinforce the connection between the wiring harness and the gauge assembly.
9. Reconnect the front cover harness to the vehicle harness.
10. Reinstall the front floor console front cover to the console.

Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. This happened to mine. The cure was to unplug it and re-plug it. I took it to the dealer and they told me that they were going to order me a new one but when I got back into the car, they worked after the dealer had unplugged them and plugged them back in. It only happened to two of the gauges, the other two worked.
