Reprogramming cost
I have changed the SIR coil on my Camaro and was told that the car needs to be relearned the new part. Since replacement i have been getting "Service Stabilitrak" warning.
The dealership has quoted me $125 to make the car learn new part and remove the warning, but i'm wondering the price is too high. Is $125 for this job reasonable or am i being taken advantage of? |

Sounds high. That is a bit over an hour labor. Ask does it really take that long to push a couple computer buttons.
Maybe try pulling some fuses out overnight, a battery disconnect... second opinion/estimate... Just curious but why wouldn't that be under warranty on a '14? |

You shouldn't have to reprogram anything after replacing the SIR coil. They may have to reset the SWPS, but that shouldn't have been affected when you damaged the coil and replaced it.
The SIR system is in no ways related to any "stabilitrak" systems or subsystems, period.
