Bolt on ideas?
Hey fellow 1LE brothers. I just got my 1LE, and I'm looking to start small to pull in a little bit more power until I SC it later on down the line. What do you think is the best bolt ons to start with it? Thanks in advance..

I've seen good gains with even LT headers and the stock cat back exhaust. Intake, headers, and tune should get you over 420 at the wheels. Add a exhaust even a little more. Great car enjoy.

Thanks. I think I will find a good air intake, and exhaust to start with. Guy at the Chevy dealer says that Borla or Corsa are the best, but I don't know about that.

The GMPP exhaust is a Borla exhaust. IMO anything with a straight through design will work. I like the RotoFab intakes (filter and tubing is HUGE) and I'm sure the other name brand ones work great. Good luck with what ever you decide.

A FAST 102 intake and 102mm TB would be a very nice bolt on as well.

I went with a RotoFab CAI, VMAX throttle body, JAB shorty headers & HF cats and it's connected to the factory NPP cat-back. Car goes for a dyno tune on Monday so we'll see how the gains work out. The pricing was reasonable for these mods, you can spend more by far or spend less. Read, shop around and then decide.
I know a lot of folks bash the shorty headers but at the time of purchase I was looking at smog laws. LT's will get you a more, no question about it but for those that are restricted, shorty headers aren't a bad choice.

Long tubes and a Vararam and a tune and you will have an animal on your hands for less than $2500.. You won't need to mess with the mufflers if you get long tubes... even normal mufflers will scream above 4k rpm. NPP will be badass..

I'll post the results as soon as I hear from my wife. I'm not expecting miracles but hoping for a decent tune and reasonable real world numbers.
