The Zex kits have a nifty management system that adjusts fuel delivery based on bottle pressure, so the ratio is always correct, and an electroic TPS switch so the unit activates only at WOT. Probably the easiest nitrous install out there.
Mississippi becomes the 39th state to ban N20 for street use.... The laws vary from state to state, but appears that it is now illegal in 39 states to spray on a public street...

Quick search of "Nitrous Prohibition Act" turned up a few other states and the actually vehicle codes.. so while I haven't found all 39 states that prohibit using N20 on the street, it is very clear that a majority of states do have some kind of law on the books making it illegal to spray on the street...

Wow, I stand corrected. Thanks for the eye opener scrming. I haven't worked with a company on street kits in awhile and wasn't aware this was happening. That's IT! NO MORE FAST & FURIOUS MOVIES!!
I know that some SEMA Board members are going to D.C. next week to meet with legislators. I'm going to call one of them tomorrow and see what SEMA is doing in regards to this. I know that they have successfully gotten local ordances lifted thru education.

I know on Guam you could have it in your car as long as the line wasn't connected. So you could drive your car to the track and then hook up the line and you were set. Except on the military bases it was illegal to have them at all

Well... personally, I find N20 a little bit much for the street... really not the place for it... IMHO...

What makes me nervous are that states that are looking to ban the simple things like aftermarket exhausts!

Proper setup you should be in the 12s.... very rough rule of thumb is 100 shot should knock a second off... bolt-on cars right now are about 14 flat with good air... 13.9 if your track is in a big hole in NJ with insanely good air!! (yes, I am jealous!!) So, yeah... should be able to dip into the 12s...

While Zex says you can run a 100 shot, i would seriously consider look at getting a N20 tune... you are going to want to:

1) Pull at least 2, or even may 4 degrees off timing.
2) Firm up the shifts if you are an automatic. I would be afraid of flare on the shifts with stock firmness

At a bare minimum, I would hold off on spraying until you get the car on the dyno and spray there first... that way you monitor the A/F and make sure it's ok... also datalog things so you can make sure things are ok...

Dang... all this talk of N20... hmmmmmmm.....

One thing I just noticed..... from Zex:

"Easy installation and a tune that maximizes
engine safety and power; a must with the V6
Camaro’s direct injection engine"

a tune??? I would call them... but last time I called them with questions it was typically a 45 minute to an hour on hold... (ok, that was about 4 years ago... LOL)
