Plastidipped the wheels, headlight blackouts , red bowtie, and also added an elite enginerring catch can, not bad for a weekend!

correct, its an ls, no halos, so i didnt mind covering up the lights, i thought it cleaned up the front nicely myself, kind of reminded me of the old 68 with the headlight shrouds

Oh I like the way the wheels look! I've wondered what those wheels would like black.

Looks really good! Can't go wrong with red & black. The bowtie pops out at you, and the wheels look sharp! Congrats!

What's this plastidip I continually see people doing? I'm looking to get a set of black rims at a reasonable price. I think yours look great and this may be an option

Just answered my own question. Looked up the process on youtube. This seems too good to be true. From those that have seen plastidipped rims in person, what's everybody's take? Pics look great but I wanna make sure they look that good up close

The plastidip lays out in a very smooth finish , as long as its applied in ideal temps, high humidity and anything above 85 is a no no, as ive tried this and it did not apply correctly. I waited and sprayed on a day that was about 78 or so with low humidity, lays out in a smooth satin like manner. Each wheel has about 3 coats and the wheel is still intact if I want to peel it off later! Plastidip is also on my front bumper, the blacked out area towards the bottom! I love this stuff! I highly recommend it.
