New Car Paint Care
I just got my new camaro and am wondering if you all have any good tips to care for the paint job. My camaro is black and of course it shows a lot of dust so I've been dusting it off to avoid having to wash it so often. Any suggestions for products that can help protect the finish? Wax? Sprays?

Adam's! Check out the whole line. Love the waterless wash for the in between cleanings. The vrt is great on non paint surfaces!

I'm with Adams, used to use zaino liked it but Adams won me over....may be pricey but I personally don't used cheap stuff on my car but that's just me

Maguire's detailer after every wash and when it's dusty. It will look like glass and keep the contaminants easy to remove.

Clear bra on leading surfaces (facia, rocker panels, mirror back, gills) is a potential option. Also quarter flares.

Best tip I can give you is do your research and develop your own technique within your ablitities. Products should be secondary to the process of what you're doing to the paint.
From a high level to start, my technique consists of a proper 2 bucket wash, clay, polish, seal, wax however none of those things have anything to do with a specific product line, but you may find specific lines work better for you within each step of the process. Other factors like affortablity, likeablity and personal taste will come into play. From an ongoing / preventative maintenance perspective (once you've corrected the paint) your technique will likely change because if you're properly maintaining your paint, you shouldn't have to polish or wax it every time you wash your car. From here your technique will still need the proper 2 bucket wash, but you may find like I did the ONR product line which is awesome for those "in between" washings where you don't want to or need to bring out the whole "proper 2 bucket wash." That process takes me only a 1/2 hour to clean the car (and not scratch it) verse the hour 1/2 it takes to properly wash it. Another in between technique that only takes about 15 minutes is using a waterless wash and micofiber towels. Again, it' gets the job done, but there is a "right way" to do this. Adams is a great line, but so is Blackfire, Pinnacle, Wolfgang, Zanio, and a list of others so which product line(s) you use will be a personal thing. In the end, it really boils down to how much time do I have to do it right. If my car hasn't been washed for over 2 weeks (which is rare) and I've driven it in the rain, it's covered in film and dust and generally looks dirty, I'm breaking out the 2 bucket wash and leaf blower to dry, but I'd better have and hour and half to devote to doing it right other wise I'll just leave it dirty until I do. If I have a 1/2 hour and the car is noticablity dirty, but not "filmed" or slightly filmed, I'll ONR it. If it's really clean and just has a little dust from a day or two of light driving and I'm in a hurry, I'll break out the waterless wash. Hope that helps.
