Installed my clutch fluid reservoir today. Looks a lot like ssmike's install! Thanks 2SSRS for the reservoir and ssmike for the zip tie idea.

I'll call you when it gets here and bring it over. The fluid I removed was a dark red. I'm really glad I did this install now.

I can't wait to get this mod done

My reservoir just arrived in our northern winter wonderland today. 2 weeks... not bad considering the zero visibility white-outs the lead dog on the mail sled had to endure.

Thanks 2SSRS

I don't think the hold up is the USPS. More likely when they transfer it to that dogsled at the US - CDN. border. My igloo is is pretty far north too.

I love the "Genuine GM" packaging from "Holden Service Parts Operations" with an address from Australia. It's kind of a shame to rip it open... ... but I will.

Thanks again 2SSRS

Using zip ties to hold it to the positive cable, I bet this took me all of 10 minutes to do. I think I spent more time looking for the parts (clamps, rubber cap, sucky bulb thing, and brake fluid) than I did installing it.

A quick spin down the road showed me all was well post install.

Thanks 2SSRS and SSMike!

Just finished the GTO remote clutch reservoir installation on my SS. The EPDM hose is used on German cars such as Porsche and Volkswagen, a 3 foot length cost me $12, I used approximately 17" for my install. The EPDM cap for the brake master cylinder reservoir is from McMaster-Carr ( I have 49 of them left if anyone is looking for them ). The mounting hardware came from Ace Hardware, it is a special blind style screw and internally thread nut assembly with a shaft similar to a blind nut. DOT 4 brake fluid is ATE Super Blue. As you can see I choose a different mounting location than others.

Very nice. What length of hose did you use to run from the GTO reservoir to the master cylinder?
