Mustangs just keep beating us
WTF,
I am a chevy guy through and through, but why does the chevrolet brand keep getting beat out by fords? Not only does the 2011 mustang have more power, less weight and reportedly nicer interior than the camaro, now it has a cheaper supercharger that generates more hp. Unless they're using a RWHP rating, LS3 still makes more power, with LEGAL SC kits (i.e. Maggie, and KB and Whipple pending). LS3s are putting down right around, what, 500 to the tire with the canned tune, and L99s are't far behind. It's looking like there's even more (albeit at slightly higher boost) from the twin screws that are seeking 50-State certifications, so where, besides cost, are we falling behind? That's a TUNER kit, too, which to me, means it's not a complete kit with everything; tuner kits for CAMAROs often lack tunes, belts, and other ancillaries to allow the customer's tuner to tailor the package to the customer's taste and preferrences. Not really apples to apples if I'm understanding your post correctly.

2010 GT500
I looked at a real nice 2011 shelby GT500 last night. The motor is a 5.4 but the heads look wide and the motor looks crammed into the car. It's like all motor. Someone age 40 bought this one and returned it because it was too fast for him.. I guess he couldn't control his foot well.

I love camaro's but like I said, it just bums me out to see that ford is putting stuff out there like this. it seems like only camaro guys know that we have more power and options while the rest of the world things that mustang is boss now because of articles like this and no answer from chevy.

I wouldn't worry too much. People are still buying just as many Camaros as they were before. So clearly they don't care about the Mustang too much.
