Where are all the Mustangs?

Hey I was just watching the ZL1 camaro's Nurburgring run on Youtube


and I got to wondering where the SS camaro ranked. It ran an 8:20..
so then I was wondering where the Mustangs were in that ranking.. so I looked at the list of time trials for production cars. Funny thing was.. I did not see any mustangs... Is this a coincidence? or are they just scared..

Interesting. You'd think someone would have run a Mustang at some point around there.

If anyone did, a GT would probably beat an SS, though. Better gearing, better weight:power, and better balance/handling tends to have an edge on a road course.

Isn't the 2013 mustang a 5.8L with 650HP @ 3800ibs? I think the ZL1 is in trouble

If it were all about power/weight ratios, you wouldn't have to run them at the ring or the dragstrip... And I'd love to see the 2012 SS w/FE4 suspension just to see that difference.

That said, there's a surprising lack of Ford anything on the list (sorry I can't get the formatting better):

Pretty old list.

I noticed how you picked a very slow time for the Ford GT, and the absolute fastest times of the other cars. The ZR1 that ran the 7:19 had a Roll Cage and DOT Slicks/Radials.

The Ford GT actually ran a lot faster than the 7:52 on that list.

The articles were from Motortrend, yes.

The Mustang has lost to plenty of cars through Motortrend.
