Difference between Trifecta and IPF - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I am going to be doing some testing with the difference between Trifecta(what I currently have) and the new steep priced IPF tune.

I just e-mailed IPF on setting up a price to get them to tune my car so I can hop on a dyno with trifecta, then after with IPF to get a difference if both. I also am planning on doing 1/4 mile times before the track closes here in NJ(negative DA)

I will continue to post in this thread with updates and hardcore evidience on what actual gains we are looking at.

::::::::::::::Update 11/15/12::::::::::::::
Going to the track on black friday at Atco and going to dyno the car right after to get my base hp/tq and some slips. Then off to the testing.

Update 12/06.12.

After talking to KmPrenger, I am going to summarize what has happen.

After talking to IPF for a few days, and a day before going to the track for 1/4 mile times, IPF did not want to work with me on cost. I have let the testing up to other members such as Korrision on his updates, but the trifecta vs IPF will still be unknown. Trifecta said they will give a free tune if someone has a IPF car, so that can be something to work with.

At the end of the day, IPF vs Trifecta for me will not be happening, but our v6 community having more options by the month is amazing and I cannot wait to see more to come.

Hey guys! I just got a call from Jesse at IPF tuning, and will be working a deal out. Stay tuned and maybe we can squeak some more HP out of the v6

Bumping this thread to let everyone know that I will be hoping of the dyno with my current set up by the end of this week. Then the testing will begin!

Wow, about the same mods as me, well close anyway. About ready to load the IPF tune on my car.

A few of us will be at Atco on Black Friday, it would be cool if you can join us.

Agreed! Will be watching this one closely along with the other IPF threads. I hope we aren't dissapointed.

Looks like I will be doing the all day. Seeing if I can get a few friends that have camaro's as well.
