camaro vs vette
So a guy I work with has a C6 with headers cam fast intake ported throttle body.
Another guy has a c5 with heads cam intake headers and 150 shot. I currently have LSA supercharger on 8psi cam and full exhaust. Let's set up three different race . 1/4 mile 40-140 60-150

The c6 dynoed at 450whp and is on street tires.
I have no clue of my power because we did street tunes. I'm on street radials.

Way too little info. Local basic cam bolt on c6 goes mid 10s, and many have. So c6 could be a mid 10 second car or a mid 12 second car. You could stomp them or be left in the dust.
Same with c5, that could easily be a mid 10 second car with a good setup. So many variables to ever tell just based off limited info like this. Hell my slow ass wife's mustang goes 11.9s, yet people with way more mods, headers, intakes, etc run mid/high 12s. Why are they so much slow? Most of them can't hook, are lowered to far for traction, crap tires, can't drive, etc. Wife's car is intake/tune/tires, just floor it and run 11s. Simple, easy. Point is, can't base a car purely off mods.

I'm going to guess the C5 is going to take the win. Should be interesting. When is the race taking place?

Yeah, I'm pretty darn sure that the Corvettes have a very distinct advantage. You're going to need much more power than them, hook harder and bang out every gear to keep a lead. The longer the race, the more likely they're going to reel you in.
But hey, if they don't hook and you do, you've got it all day long.

3 very strong contenders....really important what kind of tires everyone is using.
You may have a chance against the C6 when it comes down to sheer power. Your going to need traction on your side to really make it worth it. Is this C6 a earlier ls2 or ls3? A head cam c5 is potentially just as fast or faster then the cam only c6 and then you add that spray.... He on paper sounds like the fastest car of the bunch. If you are a 6 speed and these 2 Vettes are automatic you have your work cut out for you. On the street anything can happen. Take the hit a see how it goes. HAHAHA |

Me and the C5 are on street radials and are stick shift. The c6 is ls2 on street tires and is an auto. The c6 is 450whp.

You know it won. A better driven C6 should have been second.

I bet c5 was a close run but you still beat him. LSA Sc plus cam andbolt ons should be above 600whp easily.
