The front of the car as nose. To me the Gen 6 looks to boxy in the nose, this pic had more curves to it.

I'm curious does a mid-generation refresh justice the costs of changing up the body style? Hours of aero testing, new molds for the factories, etc, I don't see how the numbers can add up.

I wouldn't count on many 6th Gen Camaro owners to trade in what they have for a slightly new body style. Furthermore, will a slight change in the body attract more customers?

You think so? I got rid of my 5th Gen because I loved the curves of the new generation. I felt as if the 5th gen was a giant overweight brick with little to no curves.

Did you read any of the text at that site? Holy cow, I would not believe anything they post.

Half of those so-called "car sites" try and perpetuate goofy community Photoshopped cars as actual GM concepts or whatnot. I don't believe a damned thing that they post. That "chevelle" that someone photoshopped out of a Challenger is another maddening one. Even got into an argument with one kid who said he'd seen it in person and it was real.

To me when the 16 came out, there just wasn't enough there looks wise to upgrade. I just didn't care for the nose look. Not saying it wasn't better then the gen 5, but not enough to make the change. That's why I bought the Vette.

Oh yeah, that is a total click bait site. But from a design idea, it can be kind of interesting. There was one that looked like they chopped the Impala to be an El Camino.

The high-end Camaros are neat but they're sold at Corvette prices and to me that diminishes the wow factor of their lap times.

I've wondered if the cooling needs of the LT1 drove up the price of 6th gen SS. The LS3 has plenty enough power to make the 6th gen sit up and bark without the need for extra heat management.

After owning both I appreciate the drag and track capable cooling, stout clutch, and stout diff. Hot lapping is no problem with my SS at the drags. Not so much with all of my 5th gens. The CA6 SS is about equal in many ways except looks when compared to to the 5th gen ZL1. Money well spent for those of us use our Camaros at their limits. The V6 is more comparable to the stock 5th gen SSes. It's alot of car for the $$.

Molds wear out and have to be replaced. Why not make improvements when the opportunity presents instead of throwing new cap-ex money at old designs...?
