I just got my car.. 02 SS 70k slp lid,k&n filter, smooth bellow, e-cutout and a lm2.

Friends dads car: 2010 SS 6spd with magnaflow muffler.

He keeps talking shit about how I should have bought a Real camaro and his is fast because he got a 6spd and a magnaflow muffler lol..

So would I pull him or would it be pretty even? Im on 275 nitto 555r jn the rear.

Also keep in mind i have no clue if ge can drive. He weighs like 220 ish and i only weigh 125 lol

If he is good with a manual he will win. I have raced full bolt on 2002 z28 camaros and firebirds at the track and It has been close but I would win by about a car length or 2.

So
02 LS1 SS (basically - intake and exhaust - stock headers)
11 LS3 SS (mufflers)

If he is a highly skilled driver, he should beat you by a couple cars. If he's not so great at driving, you could easily beat him. Lots of LS3 SS drivers can't drive very well and run slow times at the track.

My old DD was a 2000 Z28 with full bolt ons...long tubes, duals that didn't fit lol, LS6 intake, SLP ram air/bellows/lid and fully tuned. When I got my 2010 LS3 SS, bone stock it pulled away from the 2000 on the highway...not by a lot, but just a little bit. My 2000 was a late 2000 with factory 241 heads, so the only difference from it to your 2002 realistically was the transmission (mine was a T56 car) and the cam, which was slightly larger in the pre-2001 cars...so realistically, I'd say that if your car is an auto, which I think it is, you might have him off the line, but his car will catch yours and pull away from it.

You should tell him you bought the real Camaro. He bought a re-bodied Holden.

On topic, I think you'll edge him out. Your car stock runs similar times to brand new Camaro SSs. With your mods you should have him.
