I never go to that store. I would rather pay the extra 10 cents then a $200 door repair. Hate that store and don't support it.

Hit the brakes, and watch a 40 MPH shopping hit a curb or a wall. Occasionally, it would tumble before self- destructing, but often, it simply disintigrated upon impact. Hey, we were teens, in a town where drinking was about all there was to do... never hit a car, but came damn close a few times. Yes, I've had 25 years to seek atonement for my sins.
LMAO !!!
Reminds me of a time in a Target parking lot where there were about 20 plastic shopping carts sitting on a curbed parking lot "island".
It was broad daylight and I had an old Chevy pickup with a 4 inch lift and a six inch welded pipe filled with sand for a front bumper, and hit the pile doing about 35 and literally destroyed them all.

It was funnier than hell at the time. Looking back, I don't know where I got the nerve.

You know those carts cost about $300 a piece? If you had been caught you could have been charged with destruction of property over $5000. A felony in most places. Teenagers never think about consequences...

sorry to hear about your ride, i dont have one good thing to say about inconsiderate idiots. im the same way with my car, i never park around other people but it seems like when you park like that it draws more attention to it. its pretty much a lose, lose situation for us.

And we all wind up paying for those that don't think.

I try to park next to a Camaro with my POS Cavalier when I see one at Walmart or somewhere else. I think I will make a card saying why I parked there and gave you one side of protection. Check the cameras may not help but will give you peace of mind as to how it happened.

That theory doesn't always work. I once parked next to a brand new truck because it still had the temp tag in the window and when I came out the driver had his rear door opened into my truck and pushing into it trying to forcibly stuff a TV into the back seat. Since then, I don't assume someone cares about their or other peoples vehicles just because they have a nice new ride.

And Walmart was a problem once. Came out one time when parked way out in the middle of nowhere by myself to find a cart that made a direct hit and dented my door. Oh well, could of been the wind (it was windy that day and I was at the bottom of a hill) but I'm not going to stop shopping at Walmart over one incident. I go at least once a week and never had another problem. Hate on Walmart all you want but tell me what other store I can get all my weekly needs from groceries to work gloves to cashing my check and getting money orders all in one store at one shot. Sorry I don't have the time to spend 50% of my free time off on the weekend to go shopping at multiple stores - I have many weekend chores to take care of. I don't feel any safer parking at other stores and still park further back where the least chance of someone parking next to me will be.... If I had a brand new Ferrari I'd still drive it daily to work and go shopping at Walmart. The thought of driving and being uncomfortable and unhappy in a crappy beater, I'd rather walk or make an occasional cosmetic repair to a vehicle I actually enjoy to be in and driving!

Here's a business idea:

Open up a store similar to Walmart, but that only sells American made products. The store could be called "American Made". Obviously the stuff there would be more expensive, sometimes 2x-3x more.

Would it be a success or failure?

Big investment failure.
Very small floor stock.
Priced too high to make much of a profit.
Too many liberals in the shopping base for "American-only".

Nice idea if it "could" work.

This is the world of "it's all about me". Respect is earned, not demanded. If you respect, you will be respected. Dis-respect is tearing up some merchant's shopping carts that he will have to replace out of his profits, if he is making any. Grow up, and we'll all be better off.

Just the truth.
