Ordering began on 4-19, dealers should recieve allocations around 5-10-12 to 5-19-12, production begins mid-late June.

As long as they're still taking orders in Feb next year (about 9 months)...that's about the time I'll be in position for a convertible I think.

Since it appears that ZL1 are built in consecutive batches, separate from the other Camaros, and, therefore, are not built during the same period that the other Camaros are built, 2013 ZL1 production, Coupes and Convertibles, may not begin on June 11, 2012, when the 2013 Camaro production begins. Well our dealership finally got a allocation for a ZL1

The general manager put in the order. Only thing is he could not remember if he got a stick or automatic.

He did say
Black
Black gut
Sunroof
NO suede

Looking forward to seeing this car in our showroom.

That is correct. The Verts won't begin to be produced till mid-August.

Sorry GoldenBear i need to correct your statement . The ZL1 is built right along with regular Camaro's , Buick Regals and Cadillac XTS's . They are not built in separate batches or segments .

The first 2013 ZL1's to be built arethe 2012 rollovers. I believe most if not all work order forms say "expidite to customer"!

+1 We now know that it will be August when the verts are built and when the new Blue Ray Metallic color will be available.

I guess I misinterpreted the "coupes followed by convertibles followed by ZL1s" from the post below from a few months ago, as meaning batches of each, but that's why I said, "it appears." Thanks for the clarification.

My ZL1 Vert has been on order since 4-19. I look forward to yet another outstanding product assembled by your team Mike.
I'm loving my 2011 Vert in the meantime.
