So I contacted a dealer...

Via their website and not even 2 minutes went by and I got a call on my cell from the internet sales manager was a lady BTW, so I ask her that I was looking to purcase a V6 camaro that if they had any on The lot so I could stop by and test drive, and she says yeah we have two V6's with the 2SS package, so I ask her 2ss package? What comes in the 2ss package and she says, it comes with the 426 HP engine then I asked wouldn't that make them a V8 camaro? And she says yeah the V6 with the 2ss package makes them a V8, I didn't wanted to be rude and just said OK I'll stop by later to see the V6 camaros with the 2ss package.

my dealer asked me if i wanted the dark rims on a RS packaged 1ss... yea the price was 3k higher than msrp...

When we bought our Mazda 3 a few years ago we did alot of research on the net about that car, like anything we buy. We went to 4 area dealers and very quickly found out that we knew way more about almost anything about that car! I was shocked about how little the sales people knew about the car! As for the Camaro, your story makes me laugh! Nothing against women, but with the hottest GM car right now you would think they would know more about them. I guess we have to remember that selling cars is just job to them, most people don't care about their jobs and don't take the extra effort to learn more about their products.

The funny part is they don't even have to know anything about the Camaro cause it sells itself. Sales people are just in the way!

Hey now! Just cus there are a few, err alot, of sales people who dont care about their product, don't think that all of us are like that. I personally try to learn everything about my product that I can. In fact, I feel bad if a customer comes in knowing more about a unit than I do.

One dealer I stopped at had 2 RJT's on display. The lady Internet Mgr opened them up so I could look at them. That is, she opened anything that could be opened using the key fob. I had to show her how to open the hood however! While we were looking at the LS3 I mentioned the "competition setting". She looked at me like I was from Mars! Some of these dealers need to try another round of product training. We know more than they do!

Most dealer sites go through GM. Dealerships are "graded" on response time....so SOME dealers have incorporated Third party services to monitor web inquiries.....

Well, you see how well that works.
