IMHO, needs to be 2 days. Due to the possibility of rain that could kill a single day event. People coming from all over the country would be pretty cheesed off if a 1 day event got wiped out with rain.

I found plenty to do this year, enjoyed every minute. 1 day would not have been enough.

Sonoma, CA (Infineon) would be another idea but I think you will get more cars/participation in southern California.
Any of these would be awesome choices.

Not to shoot down anyone's suggestions, but C_C said it most likely wouldn't be on the west coast this year.

yea Vegas sound great to me, so much to do there. April or October are ideal times (weather).

One day at the track. Smaller venue. Things like this are much more fun when it feels like a large crowd. It just felt "empty" both Friday and Saturday.

Miller Motorsports Park in Utah... the track is also sponsored by Ford... that would be hilarious and provide for some race fodder as they have a Ford driving school stocked with mustangs.

I am going to open my big mouth and put my foot in it.

1. I think that we owe Texas a C5Fest just for the Texas Bar in addition to their attendance I feel very strongly about this and know that we do.

2. I don't want to change venues in 2013. Each year we reinvent the wheel. Each year we think as Fest organizers we have fixed the leaks, but we spring new ones because we are in a new venue. My suggestion to the C5FEST Moderators is to slow down to go fast. We should stay at Indy for 2013 so we can focus on polishing the event as opposed to figuring out how to make a new venue work.

The Autocross was supposed to be where the vendors setup. As the vendor list grew we ran out of space so we moved the AC to the oval. We were told it would work by many and when I drove the course on Wednesday I found it was not suitable for for the power of a 5th Gen. Wednesday night we moved the AC to a section of the road course. Thursday we set out the course with cones. The course was fantastic, but we lost access to food and beverages. We had to figure out staging, tech and starting grid and that is just the tip of the iceberg that crashed into us with the change. Take our small portion of C5FEST, multiply it by all the other activities and you begin to see how each decision ripples through the event.

3. The Moderators will be discussing my opinion along with many others. They will make a decision on the date and location. No matter what they decide I will be there and support them 100% and hope that all of you understand how much work and effort goes into an event of this nature.

4. Camaro5FEST for me presented some challenges along with a pot hole here and there. Those were insignificant in relation to the overall event. I had an incredible time with C5 members I just met and it was great to see old friends from across the country. What gets lost in all of this is:

THANK YOU CAMARO5 for hosting the FEST!!!
