My first choice was ABM with white stripes but I waited too long. IBM instead.

I think a big part of the 2ss vs 1ss sales is dealership configuration. When I was shopping it seemed like the dealers were ordering fully loaded models, everytime I asked a dealer about incoming models they would always rattle off these fully option cars. I had to go 450 miles to find a 1SS/RS in black. If I wanted a 2SS in black there were about a dozen local to chose from. I don't think most buyers would go the route I did and would just go ahead and plunk down the extra $3k for the 2SS.

Like stated above, I don't like leather in my "fun" car, the gage cluster is lame and takes away a great storage area (phone/wallet) and I basically wanted the engine/tranny/halos...the rest if wasted fluff to me.

I find it funny, that I saw more Camaros in Georgia then Florida. Yet, there are more registered Camaros in Florida then in Georgia. Also, I see more in Illinois then I saw in Florida. I guess none of them are in Orlando, lol.

Maybe Chevy should oferf the 2SS with a cloth delete option w/ a $500-750 or so credit? That would probably mean there would be even more 2SSs sold.

I am surprised to see so little 1ss count considering the 3,000 dollar difference.
I am one of the minority that had to go for the 1ss. It was a hard decision but financially I couldnt go for the other 3000. I also have the Imperial blue which looks to be the rarest color other than the discontinued aqua.
I think gm really dropped the ball with the options on these cars. I dont understand why you cant get blue tooth just because you got cloth seats, to me blue tooth is a safety feature. why is it tire pressure monitors are mandatory on all cars now but blue tooth isnt?? which is more likely to prevent more accidents??
I bought a 2009 cobalt ss for 20k and it came with blue tooth, my 1ss was 33k and doesnt have it. I could live without leather and the better speakers, I of course had the floor gauges dealer installed because to me they are a must have in these cars. I just dont understand how blue tooth is not even offered as an accessory add on, it cant be too hard to do since I already installed an aftermarket one and it works the exact same way. I think gm should give more consideration to the people who cant afford to buy a camaro that starts at 36k and revamp their option availability.

excellent idea how about 2SSL and 2SSC so you dont have to forfeit other important features to get what you want and be able to afford it.

My choice of cloth over leather had nothing to do with affordability. I preferred cloth. I would have welcomed a leather delete 2SS.

I also prefer cloth, expecially on hot days like today. I would have taken the leather just to get the other 2ss options if it was more affordable or they were offered differently. The worst part is after I paid the dealer 500 to install floor gauges and 400 for blue tooth it was really only a difference of 2100 bucks. spread out over the payments it wouldnt have been a terrible difference but when you got kids in college you cant think about only you.
